Tommorow Tony Zerilli (Tony Z) is going to have Gall Bladder surgery.
Yeah, he's not comfortable knowing he is going under the knife. And he especially doesn't care to be anesthitized. And this time of year,...well he's not going to be prancing (post surgery) around like one of Santas elves.
Pray for him and/or send him your best wishes.
Peace

He'll be fine. Hopefully it's that laparoscopic one. Few little holes, in and out same day. That's what I had. Getting conked out can be a blast! Either way, best wishes for a smooth procedure.

Best Wishes Tony. Don't worry, it only hurts when you laugh after the surgery. Be sure to let us know how things go.
By the way, morphine in moderation is your friend.

Not a huge surgery anymore. In and out with a couple 3 little holes.
Cheers and thoughts are headed your way.

I'll send some your way. Even if the two of you do hate teachers. Seriously, heal up quick. Surgery is never "routine" for the one being operated on.

Thank you all for the well wishes. George is one of my closest friends, though he tends to be a bit melodramatic . It's going to be a quick and easy procedure. One thing he is right about, is that I HATE the thought of being "put under". I'll send some your way. Even if the two of you do hate teachers. I Don't hate teachers. That takes way too much effort. Thanks again, Tony Z

In retrospect, I would have gladly had it done without anesthetic even, if it meant the end of those gallbladder attacks.

I've heard the condition is much worse that the cure. Hope it goes smoothly, and don't be afraid of the pain meds, they really help with serious pain.

I'll be thinking of you. My Mother had hers out years ago and said she wished she'd have done it sooner. She felt so much better with it gone.

Just speaking for my own experience (laproscopic surgery), the gall bladder operation was one of the easiest surgeries and recoveries I've had. Good luck with yours, Tony!

Prayer sent. I had mine out the day before Thanksgiving, slept 24 hours on the great anesthia they gave me and then drove 50 miles to my sisters on Thanksgiving and ate a good plate of food and was back in the woods deer hunting 10 days later. I only needed 3 pain pills after the surgury for pain in my shoulder which I'm told was due to the gas they use to inflate you during the surgury. Easier recovery than from my appendix 5 years ago.

Here's an update: I'm still here and feeling great, thanks for asking. Wheeled me in at 11:45am, home and enjoying a dish of pasta by 2.
Thanks to all of you.

Great news tonyz! Hope the recovery is an easy one. My wife had the ortho surgery and said that the belly button incision was the one that was sore the longest. Hay Jimmyt
