Those were two great rides, I remember the Blue Ridge Ride like yesterday, everytime the folks that were on that ride get together it is always mentioned.. Smiley not many of us finished the ride end to end but those that did will never forget that day, the Blue Ridge Pkwy belonged to us that day.. cooldude The Fall Color Ride was the ride that Tracy's beast coughed it up down by the state park and Chrome Dome threw his bike out in the middle of the road to stop the police for assistance.. Grin what  a guy!! If I remember correctly the Blue Ridge Ride was where we kept losing Thrumper in the fog, it happen so many times, I remember him pulling up and saying he thought we were trying to tell him something... Grin

Thanks for the memories Joe, been awhile since I thought of those two rides.

Great rides....thanks for the memories!

Got left behind twice on the Ride to Mile Marker One.....once mechanical and once for .....um.....oh well.....

I remember breaking away and riding back alone from Roanoke...I'd never done that before and absolutely loved it.

Well then it sems that it should be High time to do it again.

I never get tired of a good road and good friends. Up here in MI we do have a lot of good roads that aren't discsussed much because (JMHO) we'd like to keep the squids away and those roads to ourselves.

Pam and I are so fortunate that we live just off of E.N. Hines Parkway otherwise we'd have to dodge city traffic to get into the rural areas west of Detroit, north of Ann Arbor, and within 20 miles of Hell MI. I makes for a quick getaway.

But MI holds so many more secret getaway roads and places that it is near impossible during the tourist season.

And although I've never ridden the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, it is on my "bucket list".
