This Valk is on Ebay for sale at a Honda dealer in Maryville, OH. It is listed as having 26xxx miles on it. That is what is showing on the odometer but I sold this bike a couple of years ago with over 100K on it. It looks great and it ran perfectly when I sold it,  but I just want everyone to know that this isn't a bike with only 26K on it. Just a "heads up" for potential buyers. BTW, it's item #220919516474, FYI.

Might be a good idea to send an email to the dealer selling the bike.  Maybe they don't know (or hopefully they don't know and are not trying to be fraudulent).

I have always thought this dealer was kind of shady they normally have a Valkyrie for sale.  I have seen local ads, I can remember they had one for sale when I bought mine.  It was way over priced, cant remember the mileage, probably in the 20k range and they wanted almost $13k for it.  I bought one with just over 7k miles and not a scratch on it for $7,700.00.  I would not buy an oil filter off them personally......

I bought my Valk from a similalry dishonest dealer in Essex, England.

They had passed it through the legal MOT test (required to be road legal) yet when I got it front brakes were seized... could not have been legal like that. They are also guilty of other dodgy practices... wouldn't buy an oil filter of them again, never mind a bike.

At least I got it cheap.

Gotta watch out for these bums.. Angry

I also notified the dealer - maybe  he truly didn't know the exact mileage and the person that had the Valk before him "forgot" to mention the mileage.

Hey Michael this is Ryan the GM at Honda Marysville. Thank you for the heads up this is all new information to me! I am going to remove this bike from the auctions until I can look into these alligations. I'll have to do some research with the COC (clerk of courts) to try and track down the history of the Valkyrie. I purchased this bike from a gentleman who I have bought and sold bikes to for 5 years now. I would not have assumed any kind of shady dealings from him so this news is a little disheartening. If this news turns out to be correct I will disclose all of this information with any future buyers and will adjust the price to reflect its history.
As for the gentleman speaking of the $13K Valkyrie. I took over in August of 2010 and since then I have not sold or offered a Valkyrie at such a price. This July however I had an opportunity to purchase a Interstate model which was the first time I have ever had a chance to have one for sale on my lot. Needless to say I payed the money for this bike, which I do for all Valkyrie's we purchase. I had this bike priced for $10'9 which is a little steep but I thought we had a real special bike on our hands.
Sorry for the lengthy response but the reputation of my dealership is everything to me and my staff. If there is ever an issue I appreciate it being brought to my attention so we can address it and make it right. Not everyon is perfect and we will make mistakes from time to time, but with an issue brought to our attention will work our rear ends off to correct it. Again thank you for the heads up and I will keep you updated with my findings on this vehicle.
Have a great Christmas Sir!

It's possible that the dealer didn't know about the mileage. The bike looks, or looked when I sold it, as though it could have that few  miles. When I sold it all the title asked was if this was true mileage or if the mileage was in excess of what was showing. There was no place for actual mileage so the odometer would have been showing like 17k miles and the actual mileage would have been in excess of that. Anyway, my reason for posting was to prevent anyone from purchasing something that wasn't what it was represented to be.

I've wondered about that when I see Standard and tourers with 3-6k miles. When they reach 100,000 don't they just start all over again? I assume that's not true wit the I/S since they are digital and probably an extra digit.?

I have owned my motorcycle longer than you have owned this dealership.  Two years ago or so the motorcycle I was talking about was a 98 Tourer, granted it was two years newer back then but still 12.5/12.7k was way overpriced.  As far as the I/s you was talking about 10.9K is steep, Kelly Bluebook should put it somewhere close to 7K.  We all know the I/S is worth more than 7K but 11K is a little much.  You may be a new dealer owner but still your price is too high.  The Valkyrie was made to ride, not sit on a dealers lot priced out of owning...

x2.  And actually, the titles in Kansas have a line on them for once they have passed actual mileage that says  in excess of actual mileage reading or something.
If that did not make it on the new title, then the last clerk to title it missed it or was asked to missed.  Not going to judge.

I know the 2 bikes i titled before the Valk had the mileage messed up by the clerk.  One of them they added 100k to.  One they reversed, it had 40k on it, the title said 30.  Both I had to go back and have changed right away since I was planning on selling them soon.  It was a GIANT pain cause the clerk did not want to admit wrong doing at all..

Second one i took to another clerk, took about 2 pages of paperwork, and a new title showed up in the mail.
