My I/S had one of Des's Ultimate Low Rider seats on it when I bought it back in 2004......I noticed on my ride yesterday that it's starting to crack near the seams in the middle of the seat.....I sent him an email to see what it would cost for a new cover......but I also wonder if I should have them put new foam on the seat pan while the cover is off?.......anyone else had this done before and have an idea what it'd cost?

I bought this one used and someone had took a knife to it and the backrest ( Harley Rally ) . Cost me $125.00 to have it done in marine grade material. Buy some mink oil and from time to time work it in the seams it waterproofs also.My guy followed all the original seam patterns but did'nt put the Ultimate logo back on it.

I'm going to have to have something done because here is the email I got back from Ultimate Seats.....

"Your seat from 2004 or before is not current manufacture (last 7 years) and can not be recovered or refoamed, sorry."

Big reason for this is the difficult process of flatulence-extraction. A 7-8 year build-up would be a challenge.

Any decent upholstery shop should have no problem fixing that up for you.
I can't believe "Ultimate" would not fix it or better yet be able to send you a new cover. What ..... they threw the pattern out!  Roll Eyes
