25 or so brave souls braved the brunt of the Arizona winter weather and went on our annual NYD ride today.  Although temps were in the low 70's in the desert, we soldiered on, many of us resorting to long sleeve shirts, well, at least in the morning.  Yes, there was actual snow (as evidenced in the below pic), but it didn't faze us, for we are manly men (and some little girls, but mostly manly men).

Had a great time.  Thanks Des and Kendal.  More pics on the AZ board.

I too braved the brutal winter weather (of south Florida) so as to start 2012 the right way...

It was just horrible... sunny and about 80.  Grin

Sorry about not making this years run but like we said earlier Sharon had church commitments for today and then we had family get together which included a traditional New Years Day breakfast followed by football watching.  After the early games we did get out for a bit and rode up to Cave Creek.  The Hideaway was packed and the overflow of bikes was parked along Cave Creek Road.  Harold’s was busy as was Buffalo Chip.  Bikes were parked everywhere.  It seemed like everybody who owned something with two or three wheels was out on them.  About 4:30 we did see a couple on a black Valk go through Cave Creek.

I wore a long sleeve T today too.......... and two fleece shirts and an insulated jacket and long johns, 2 pr sox and boots....... oh yea, and some leather pants.

We have not had any Actual Snow, but it is nonetheless actually pretty damn nippy.

Yup, Winter is my favorite time to ride here. Low humidity, 75-80 degrees, no sweating. Glad you all got out on New Years Day, It's the right thing to do Wink
