Has anyone here bought an 85 amp. alternator  off E bay..http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALTERNATOR-GL1500CF-VALKYRIE-INTERSTATE-31100-MBY-005-/260656767085?vxp=mtr&hash=item3cb05aa06d#ht_1162wt_1110..If so did you have to change your battery  like  you would have with a Compufire Alternator.

That may be the alternator, that if you employ it, you have to modify the frame in order to get it to fit.

Having a larger capacity battery is not demanded for a larger alternator. 

The main reason for a larger alternator is the addition of electrical devices and lights on top of the stock equipment.
