A friend is one who takes me for what I am.

Cleveland, Tennessee

« on: January 07, 2012, 02:17:36 PM »

A long time buddy of mine who has more money than it would take to burn a wet dog called me at daybreak this morning wanting to hang out. He came to pick me up in a 2012 Duramax 2500 that was loaded like a Lincoln. Then the first thing we did was go to the local Gun store and check out the after Christmas specials....We looked at a Kel-Tec PMR-30,http://www.gunblast.com/KelTec-PMR30-2.htm a 30 shot 22 magnum auto. I think I may have to have one, but there is a very long waiting list.  He then took me to his farm where he had two of these...
We rode all over the farm which has fields, logging roads and mountains. These atv's are better than any four wheeler or mule I have ever driven. The only way to drive them is wide ass open, they soak up every bump, rock, and ditch you come to. It had a four wheel drive that climbed everything we came to. We then went back to his so called "toy barn" and drank some foreign beer and talked about high school days. It was a fun time and it was great spending time with him. The whole time I was with him I kept thinking what Smokin"Joe would say....... IT'S HARD TO HIDE MONEY
(I hope he calls again soon laugh)

His family owns over 50 fast food resturants. They also have land & real estate investments.
He is a super guy who would give you the shirt off his back, and would be in your corner if the crap hit the fan. Oh by the way did I mention he married into the money?  2funny

I like the Kel-tecs, they are made in the USA, are priced right, and are light and reliable. I may have to sell my  P.O.S. XD-40 (which jams no matter what brand of ammo goes down the pipe) and buy both the PMR-30 &  the Sub-2000 .40.

HotGlue,

I have that SUB2000 in .40 cal.

I have been pushing Black Dog to try and make your BBQ, should I bring it for protection? If you have a range area, you can try it out. And you are right, it fits nicely in the saddle bag.

Years ago I built a 100 yrd range here at the house..... but the area around me has built up so much, that I don't shoot here anymore... just raises too many issues with neighbors. We aren't in the country anymore...
Hope Y'all can make the Gatherin'!!!!!!!!!!!
