Got a new computer, well its not new, bought it back from the x wife.  ??? I'm trying to down load itunes and new version of Internet explorer. I keep getting a message that says my security settings are to low. The 'slide' bar is set at med high and won't go any lower, per my computer. Had a coworker help me but we still cant get it to work. Its like a 04 or 05 emachines, with windows xp. Has adware and AVG as protection.

Brian, that slide bar you are trying to move can't be moved from that site, but if you click 'advanced', or maybe 'custom', been too long since I was in there, then you can change it....

If it still gives ya crap, shut off your AVG and your other checker upper.    Once downloaded, then set everything back to normal and restart your 2 bundles of software...

PS:   Do a system backup, just in case ya screw it up and have to restore the system.

Ditto on Firefox...much smaller footprint....and thankfully unrelated to Microsoft!

Firefox is easier to install and use. Due to a corrupted file, I just had to remove firefox (cookies wouldnt read). Just went to internet exlporer, typed "firefox", downloaded the free operating system, chose "run" also gives you the option to import your bookmarks from your microsoft syst. Peppy little system. Give it a try, you can always remove it, no sweat.
