Anyone out there have a nice spreadsheet or program they created for tracking their Valk services?  If so, would you mind sharing it with me?

Wouldn't be very hard to create an Excel spreadsheet.

LEt me know what ya want on it and I'll create one and send it to ya.    You have to maintain all the entries, that is where I draw the line.

Tell me what you want to record.   Date, mileage, service done,  $$$ to you, and etc.

Make sure you think through what ya want to chase dwon as I'll only do it once, from then on you are on your own.

reply to rjb448AThotmailDOTcom or use the send a PM in this site....   Click on my handle and it will bring up my profile, down towards the bottom is a link to send a PM to me.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I just use word. I write what I need done every spring. And when I do it in March I write the milage and date of when its done. Kinda simple really. Then at the end of the year I use Word and type everything out nicely.

I originally had it set up in excel like this (based on the maintenance schedule in the book)

The idea was to grey out the columns as I reached that particular mileage range, but I never did stuff together and at the time it was supposed to be done, so it got messy this way figuring out what's due next.  So I took the approach below (this is just to remind me how long its been since the last accomplishment and when its next due, base on the interval I plug in).

You plug in the current odo reading (it knows the date), and as you accomplish stuff, you fill in the date or odo reading in the "C/W @" (Complied With At) column.  Formulas do everything else based on the interval you set in the far right column.  This just to determine what needs to be done.  I've got a logbook set up in Word where I log what I did.

www.mileagetracker.org
I've used this website for several years now for maintenance intervals. The name says it is a milage tracker but I don't even use that portion.  I just use the maintenance portion and it is easily modifyed.

On page 104 of Clymer's Honda Service-Repair_Maintenance Manual M462 there is a list of about 50 things to check, inspect, replace, etc. Is that what you are talking aobut? So are you want ing a spread sheet where you know what to do when? I may can get my wife to type something up cause I'm interested also. I've got 34k on my 01 IS and keeping up with what's due to be done is like a crap shoot. But just like I'm reading through this stuff and it recommends for service intervals to "change the oil and filter every 8,000 miles." I don't know anybody that will go that long without changing oil. So who knows about using their intervals. Either way, it does seem to be a good guid for things to look for.

The basic maintenance things are good to have.  In addition I also want something where I can just input generic stuff like when I installed new shocks or made cosmetic upgrades also.  Cells for date, cost, work done, note area, etc.

RJ had a simple reply.  An Excel spreadsheet can be made simple or as detailed as you want.  I have been doing that since I got the Valk.
