Meet MISS Bailey Makenna, born this evening at 8:40pm, 7 lbs.  This is my eighth great-grandchild, along with seventeen grandchildren. Dad looks so young, just recently out of the Navy and going to UCLA to finish up. The boy/girl count is even for great grands...4 each. In 1987 we lost a granddaughter in a car accident but I still count her, but of the living grand kids the boy/girl count is also even....8 each. So far only five of the grandkids have produced greats, so that means the list will continue to grow longer than I'll be around. Who knew in 1957 when I first got married that my family would grow like this. When the little ones come and sit on my lap, it just makes all the troubles of the world seem to melt away for a time. I have so much to be thankful for midst all the turmoil.

I hope I get some better pictures tomorrow.

Those who know you, John, know you're not just a great grand dad, you're also a great guy... Congrats on a great family... I suspect your parenting skills are at least as good as your riding skills...

Congratulations John.         I'm currently awaiting my 3rd Great.   He/she/it was due last Thursday.

Doc said he would induce labor about Tuesday eve or Wed morning.

Only got 1 girl who will pop them out as scheduled......      However, right now she is between husbands.     Her hubby of 12 years decided he wanted someone with more $$$$.      He is/was/still a spend thrift.  Divorce signed final on a Tuesday and Wednesday the following week he married his Attorney girlfriend.    She just bought him a Cadillac, XST or some thing along that line.   Cadillac's new hot rod, $65,000 out the door plus Sales Tax (6%) and license, ($435).  He sees or saw something he wanted, he got it no matter how far in the hole it put him.    Valarie would say no, he walked out the door and went and got it.   His last purchase before he asked for a divorce was a Motor home.    He bought it, (used one) and 3 weeks later when he was tailgating, he got a DUI.     Do I feel sorry for him, NO way Jose.

He never had a pot to pee in or a window to throw it out of before they got married, but when he got his current job, he went up the pay scale by leaps and bounds.

SHUT THE F**K UP RJ, okay boss, I done.

He made $110,000 a year, she made $90,000 and his spending put them in the hole $65,000 when the divorce was final.     Thank God her attorney got her off with the car, $9K, and a $5,000 credit card bill.

She is a fighter, so things are looking up for her.

Sorry I hijacked your post John.......

Congratulations. I read somwhere that grand kids are God's reward for not killing your kids.
If I'd know how great grand kids were, I'd have had them first.

More congrats, John. I'm waiting on my great greats - but am beginning to think my grandaughter might have messed with my great grandaughters minds. One in 20-21, the other 16-17. Another 6-7(not much hope there!).
