Lost my Motorola Android phone.

Yep I've tried calling it. Multiple times to mAke sure it's not hiding in my SUV .

Is there any way to "locate" it.

The Gps function is turned on and no I hadn't previously  downloaded any apps for finding the device

I loose my phone sometimes inbetween the cusions of the couch.  When I call it, the leather is so sound restrictive Id have to be right on it to hear it.  Try where you hang out in chairs and chack all around andn under the cusions

At my house sometimes we locate them by looking in the
washing machine...

Not gonna help ya' THIS time, but after you find/replace it, go install an app called Lookout. (It'll try to get you to do the paid version, but the free version does everything ya' need.)

Once it's on, you can login to their website and get a GPS lock on your phone, AND you can remotely make the phone go off like a siren to make it even easier to locate... Very handy app, saved me many times...

You could TRY pushing the app to your phone through the https://market.android.com/apps but I'm not sure that would work. There are others that I'm sure would work as well that you can try "Where's my Droid" being the most famous) and see if you can remotely push the install from the web based market and then use the app... it's worth a try at least!

Good luck!

(And you're not a dumbass... You were smart enough to get an Android phone instead of an icky iPhone! Wink )

None of the above will work if the battery is now dead.  Good luck finding it.

I called the school bus yard dispatch office early but no luck

Called again at 9.30 when most drivers would have returned.

Yee-Ha!

Found and handed in. Most people are good.

Now I know not to put it in the side pockets of a certain jacket. Angry

i found my boss's cell phone the other day at work.  he gets all ticked off if we don't carry the shop phone, even though it rings once every couple of months.  i felt like calliing his phone a dozen or so times, then question him why he isn't aswering his phone!!  i would think it to be funny, but he's the type of guy that has been known to fire people without warning.
