...saying things that other people write for them.

Mark Wahlberg: On being scheduled to be on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center
“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

Uh, wow.  He really does think highly of himself.

I think a lot of the passengers would have done something if they knew what the terrorists planned to do.  The flight that crashed in PA proves that, the passengers there knew of thier plans.  Just ordinary folks that averted of one  the attacks because they knew the plans in time to act.  Heros all.  Sad  Hoser

Does he expect to land an airliner safely on his own? What an ass.

I agree that that all those folks who acted over PA are heros,....but they are dead heros.  Had Wahlberg been on one of the planes that hit the towers, and had known what was going down, he just may have been a hero, but he would have been a dead hero as well!

Oh wait, I forgot about the Marky Mark super powers that he possesses.  Of course it would have been different.  He would have climbed out onto the wing while still in flight, scaled down to underneath the plane, and using his Marky Mark powers, guided the plane safely to JFK, after killing all of the hijackers of course.   uglystupid2

I knew two co-workers who were in the planes that hit the WTC, and can swear with certainty that both of them would have made a stand if they'd had an inkling of what was to come.  I believe that the prevailing wisdom at that time was to go along with the hijacker's demands, in order to save as many lives as possible. I also know one woman who was supposed to make the same flight, but didn't. She is grateful, but feels somehow guilty. It's a measure of ego to assume that you would react positively in a situation, after you know the final outcome. Every one that died on that day is a hero. Please elect people who want to keep our defenses strong enough to prevent another attack like that one.
