You only go around once

Valley Springs, Calif

I went on a Poker Run yesterday put on by the local Lions Club.  At one of the check points one of the wives of the Lions Club walked over to my bike and said that it was the most beautiful bike she had seen all day (I was one of the last bikes on the run).  At the next check point after I got my poker card and walked back to the bike I found a Harley rider checking the bike out.  He asked if it was really a 6 cylinder, and when I replied that it was he said "Man, that thing must be as smooth as glass".
I've only owned my Valk for about a year, but I'm becoming used to comments like these, and to having people do a double take on the road when I ride by.  I've owned many bikes, but none have received the attention that my Valk receives.  And thankfully it runs every bit as good as it looks.

get use to it. it happens all the time. now that the bike is 6 years out of production even other riders have forgotten that the valk was even made. remember you are NOT riding another me-too v-twin.

Amen to that!
Went to a good friend's surprise 50th birthday party with both of our Valks yesterday. Got two redlight "nice bike" comments {from metric riders} and spent a good part of the day answering questions about our Valks. The Harley riders there were blown away about the mileage on my '97 {91K}, amazed that it had never been rebuilt by now.  Grin.
Still impressing people after all these years! cooldude
Best of all they still impress us.. The riders!  Cool

Here is a pic from the Lincoln Cruisers Motorcycle Groups blog (by the vice president) that linked over to a pic of my bike on a ride with them last year.
Standing out in the crowd:

Every time I ride with them, somebody has something nice to say about my bike.
