Since I haven't been able to make meetings and not too much more time to get online, do we have a wrench party scheduled for anytime?? I would like to find the leak on my final drive. I will probably need help on this from the more experienced wrench turners.

None I've heard of. But I missed the last meeting.
Propose a date. Make sure Lisa is OK first.

Walt, Can we rule in or out the crush washer (#38) under the drain plug (#22) and the o-ring (#33) under the fill plug (#2). DFG

Dave..Is'nt 32 the one you can change similar to the shifter seal. Drive a screw carefully into , pop it out, and tap a new one in carefully ? Paul.

If I recall, we did not take the final drive apart. I just cleaned it off in Matt's parts cleaner.

VP, as soon as I get back in from Sonora, Texas this Friday, I'll take a few pics and email them to ya. I just got in from KC Kansas and leaving out in the morning to Sonora. I should have them by either Friday night or Saturday. I won't be able to get back online till probably Saturday though. I don't have internet in my rig.

If I remember right we forgot to replace the crush washer with a new one. Dave, do you remember that I put the shaft in first and then the final drive and you questioned how I knew if the seal in the shaft housing would be right? Hmmmm.

Matt, my understanding of Walt's leak is that it is not coming from either the fill bolt or the drain bolt. (I've never replaced either the o-ring or the crush washer.) If the seal that fits in the end of the pinion cup isn't seated, it's possible to get oil from there, into the drive shaft housing (swingarm), that then seeps through the interface where the pumkin bolts to the swingarm. But, I'm not sure enough oil would make that trip to cause Walt's drip. It's something we'll need to check though.

I'm here for the weekend but can't this time. Had to take Lisa back to the hospital last night. She is doing fine now, they think it was a TIA, or a mini stroke. She is almost back to 100 percent, and should be coming home tonight. I would like to try and work around everyone's schedule, so the next weekend or whatever works for me. Once I know then I can make sure I get that time off. I appreciate your help in all this. It's been a circus around here this past few weeks. Heck of a way to start the new year. Again, thanks to all for the help.
