I need a couple OEM parts and I ordered them from Directline. They seem to ship via pony express every time I order from them. Typical delivery time seems to take at least a week and a half....or longer. Well, now I need a couple more doo dads and was wondering if anyone else that sells OEM stuff ships any faster than Directline. I know about Bike Bandit and a few others (never ordered from any of them), but do any of those places ship any faster?

That is because they have Honda ship it to them first, then it is shipped to you.

What he said if its a small order. On most things my dealer is 2 to 3 days. Course if Honda them selves are back ordered-well you get the drift. I asked H D L about U joints and they informed me 6 to 8 weeks backlog. I'll wait on H D L because dealer wants almost twice as much as H D L on the U joint. RIDE SAFE.

The dealership here in Texarkana will honor the HDL price IF you take in the HDL part number. Helps to just get a print out with the number and price.

I quit using Direct Line a long time ago for that very reason. Started using Service Honda in Indiana, either them or Dealers Cost. Pricewise, Direct Line isn't any better than Service Honda, you still pay shipping but not sales tax. On a large dollar order, many times the lack of tax pays the shipping, regardless of who you buy from if out of state. http://www.servicehonda.com/parts.html

Mine will do that as well... match the price and no charge for shipping, but I do have to pay tax. They seem to get it in within a week, depending on the item of course.

Dillion Brothers may take their time, but their shipping costs are much more reasonable. If your order fits in an mailing envelope it's $2.99 shipping. Anything under a pound ships for $6.99.
Dealercostparts.com wants $20.29 for the same package.
Parts prices are very close.

Maybe a little off topic but talk about fast shipping, hear this. I have a 1991 Goldwing to go with my Valkyrie. I ordered a Hopnel tank pouch for the Wing yesterday afternoon from Wingstuff. This morning, yes morning, not even 24 hours later, Fedex rang my doorbell and handed me a box. I did not even know what it was until I read the shipping label. I was amazed to say the least. Granted, I live in the same state, CA, as Wingstuff, but that is FAST shipping no matter what. They sell lots and lots of stuff for us motorcycle riders. No, I'm not affiliated with them, just a very satisfied customer. I'll use them again in the future. Matter of fact, Im' going to get off of here and call them to thank them for their fast shipping.

I checked Dillion bros. Most of the time if you are ordering a bunch of parts the higher cost outweighs the added shipping. The std ship charge for Dealer cost is $20, I normally wait till I have a bunch of parts I need and stock up on some others to get a good box full for the $20. If I order a water pump for my Gl1000 it's $117 + $20 for shipping = $137 from Dealer Cost, and $140 + $8 for shipping = $148 from Dillion brothers. Paid for shipping right there. now i can fill the box with other stuff from Dealer Cost and the shipping stays the same till you reach a bigger box.

Jeff;
Your right, but sometimes doing the home work is a bit much. And then there's the times when you only need a couple of screws or bolts, which is what I ran into yesterday.
I'm just glad we can still get almost all parts.

I ordered the few things that I need from ServiceHonda last night. We'll see if they beat Directline.
