Well, maybe not. But I did shoot a 44 Mag for the first time today!! Not
as much recoil as I expected. Wonder if I can talk my wife into buying
me one for my birthday? It would really "make my day".

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I shot one a few weeks ago. It was a revolver. The back of the triger guard was kinda painfull on my second finger. Only shot it 3 times... I'll pass... But I do hope you get one, if you want one.

Shot a 454 Cassull with 300 grain rounds.

Now that my friend is the meaning of KICK>

Hit the target with scope at 120 yards.

Aimed for center mass, but tore the left shoulder off the target.

Close enough.

I love my .44 Magnum.....I like shooting as hot loads as possible in it...I have done my own reloading for it, just not in a while....one handed shooting with it isn't a problem either......"Go ahead Punk, make my day!"...... cooldude

I love my Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum and it's more pleasureable to shoot than any of my three .357 revolvers. Good for deer, boar, home defense, but certainly nothing to carry concealed.

Gots a Redhawk, used to have a Blackhawk, wish I still had it.  Also gots a BFR in 45/70 that I love to shoot.  Love the big bores, think Elmer had it right.

I have a Ruger Redhawk too......... I highly recommend it, unless you have a hankering for single action.

With a 2X power LER Leupold pistol scope, forehead shots at 50 yards are easy.

Redhawk is the easiest on the shooter when it comes to recoil, IMHO.  Hoser  cooldude

Roadkill, those grips look like Hogue Mono-grips? I have them on most of my revolvers and LOVE them. I find them far superior to the Pachmyer. They are a perfect fit for my hands and the rubber seems much softer.
Where did you get them? I can only find silly Ivory grips or wood for my Blackhawk. Don't get me wrong Ivory lovers, they look great on display, but thats about it.   I've owned my 3-screw Blackhawk since 1977 and it was used when I got it. Now you have me thinking, check the serial numbers. What are they worth now, any Idea?

. 44 mag revolvers are fun.  Violent and loud, but fun.  240 grn pellets loaded to about 1K fps work best for us.  Here is our favorite:

When we go about the farm with this holstered, even the cows show respect.

We trudge on.
