Hey guys, been doing alot of searching today for interstate arm rests.  I have seen the ones from BBT, but dont like that the whole thing does not swing out.  My wife is a woman, and from what i have read if your girl is not a size 4 or under, she will need to pull the arm rest every time to keep from getting hung up on it.  I also dont like how you have to pull the arm rest to get into the trunk.

Looking for something like the 1500 wings have, or even like the ultimate interstate arm rests.
Have a 5 year old that is wanting to start riding, and want to get some arm rests to go with the rest of the safety equipment Im looking at.

If any of you have added anything besides BBT armrests please share some pics of how they look, where you got them and if you can, a general cost.

Im also looking at what is called a Buddy Belt, so if anyone has a buddy belt they have out grown, let me know.

Thanks for everything guys.

I know it shows a pic of a wing, but it says it is for the Valk I/S. so i do not know...

Didn't Des from Ultimate make something in the likes of armrests?

My remember'er isn't much good anymore but I recall Des doing something along that line.

All i could find on his site was the ones for the non I/S bikes.   I have seen pics on here of what guys where calling Ultimate I/S arm rests.  I was hoping someone could give me some insight on them.

I know alot of people are saying go to Big Bike Things, however, I really dislike how they mount to the bike and how they work.  I dont want to have to take them off to open the trunk, and i dont think my bride will enjoy the way they take up so much of the mount dismount room.
Looking for arm rests that completely swing out of the way.

I have had the ones that you don't like for about three years now.  I have learned that if you leave the armrests adjusted "all the way" up, they will not prohibit the trunk lid from opening adequately.  They are easily adjusted and removed with a wing nut.  When I do have a passenger, I only have to remove the left side rest for her to mount up.  I lay the armrest on my trunk rack till she gets adjusted, and simply replace it before I get on myself.  While I agree that something that hinges out of the way like the Goldwing would be much easier, I would much rather have what I have instead of nothing.  By the way, the bike looks just fine with the rests removed.  The chrome mounts stay below the trunk, and add a little chrome to that area.  A little extra chrome is always good, right?

Kyle:

Do you have any trunk guard rails?  I have the Honda OEM guard rails, and am wondering if they and the arm rests would work together?

I have a set from Ultimate. They mount under the trunk and the upper parts swing out to get on and off. My wife really likes them. I have since removed the trunk and probably won't be using them any more. If you are interested or need to know more give me a call and maybe I can answer your questions.

I do have trunk rails, but not Hondaline.  I have tried to post a pic, but I am obviously inept in that regard.  I will send you one off-list.
