Many thanks to Rocketman, Mark for his skillful route planning, ride leading and organizing that made the Hill Country ride a huge success! It was so good seeing old friends and making new ones. You really do meet the nicest people on a Honda. Thanks for the reaming, Wanderer. (not what you dirty minds think) Shocked

Wizard and Lyn-Del made it home mid-afternoon.  Good times with good people -- one of the best things about Valkyries!  Well, that and the ride ....

SideCar family is home.  Thanks to Mark and others for some planning.  Great riding and eating with all of you.  We did ride in between eating didn't we?

Got to see some old friends and make some new ones.  See you on the roads.

HayHauler is home, got here about 6:45 p.m.

Saw a bad wreck, well the aftermath, of a Harley rider.  His bike was pretty badly mashed.  It looked like a springer front end from what I could see.  It was at the intersection of 71 and I-10 heading East.  My prayers are with his family....

Glad to be home in one piece.  The ride up on Friday was brutally hot (100*) the weatherman said.  We all got burned pretty good (bad).  Rode some good rodes on the way to Austin and even some better ones on the way to Kerville.
Saturday's ride was a hoot!  Definitely worth the "price of admission".  I will have to do that ride again, hopefully with my photographer in the rear seat.
Sunday, rode the Willow City loop and some other loop/road that turned to dirt about half way.  So we stopped and took pictures of Dag and some cows that were standing on the side of the unfenced dirt road.  When we stopped, the cows ran, but we took some pictures anyway.

With this as my first big trip with the group, I have to say that "you really do meet the best people on a Honda".  There are some good "Wing" and "HD" people too.  Smiley

Last, but not least, THANKS to HotGlue and Flamingo Babe for gettin us started off right with the best BBQ and the best company around!

Hay  Cool

P.S.  I will post some pictures later, I'm off to bed for now...  Smiley

Janet & I made it home by about 7:00pm after a total of 968 excellent miles.  We even missed a turn on the way home, and while getting back on route, found an excellent road from Zephyr to Commanche.

Great people.  Great roads.  Great weather.  Great bikes.  Can't wait until we all get back together.

Many thanks to those who worked to put this all together.  Your efforts are truly appreciated.  Hopefully, one day we'll have the opportunity to enjoy first-hand the famous hospitality and BBQ artistry of Flamingo Babe & Hotglue.

What a great weekend.

Ditto.. Ditto.. AND Ditto.
It seems everybody had as good a time as Lori and I.   And as usual, the most dangerous part of the trip was within 25 miles from home.  Some jackass in a cage wanted my lane and of course, without looking, started moving in.  I probably knew what he was going to do before he did so I was braking and blasting my air horns while avoiding his right rear passenger door.  He did, however, give an 'oops, sorry' wave as he was exiting the off-ramp that he nearly missed.  Oh well. Such is biking in the DFW Metro-Plex.  It was fantastic weekend and the over-the-top intake of liquids and solids was expected so no complaints there either.  Looking forward to the next adventure and the comradery that goes with it.

I guess I win the prize for least miles.
After breakfast I meandered my way home and ended up just under 300 total miles.
I had a similar experience Tom. Less than 10 miles from home and a cell phone talker decided to merge into my lane.  uglystupid2
With heavy traffic and a factory horn I did think I was going to make it.
When I got home I finally installed my air horn (it's been on a shelf in the garage for a couple of months...can't wait to use it!)
Thanks for the bracket Blood-n-Guts!   cooldude

Sorry I couldn't make the whole trip, but it nice to "some" time with a few of you.

Yea, I wish I had gotten a photo of you and our Waco pal, Jasmine at the Koffee Kup. I only did 305 miles getting to Kerrville. Sure wish Sly would have let you go! ~Jeff
