2 of them actually. I went with intentions of getting a Super Blackhawk but found these. We have been wanting to get some for around the farm and shooting cheap ammo. He gave me a small deal for getting 2 and also gave another guy a deal as he got one similar. I was gonna get 1 but knew Kit would be pissed if I didnt get her one. Bought them alot cheaper at the store then the Heritage web site. ??? She said its the best gift she has ever gotten! 22 LR & Mag

Looks good, have fun, nothing like a 22 revolver for fun.
If you decide to practice fast draw, watch out for the leg shot (on your leg).

Nice....but I'm looking for a DA. Have my neighbor, who owns a gun shop, looking for a Taurus 992m 4in Stainless....which is DA, 22/22Mag (2 cylinders). Might consider that one you have if he can't locate the 992.
Let me know how it shoots for you.

Very cool. I have been on a gun buying spree myself. In December I bought a cherry Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match, then a new Ruger 22/45 with replaceable grips. And will send a check off Friday for a Marvel Precision Unit 1 to use on my Gold Cup frame when I want to shoot a .22 with the identical characteristics of the .45.

Is that for real? Does the hammer really sit on the firing pin, no transfer bar or safety block?

Nice! I personally like SA's since I'm left handed and I especially like Rugers. Here's mine. All three are New Models and have transfer bars. Safer but not as nice as the Super Blackhawk that I gave to my son.

It does have a safety block. Book says old colt style. Its the little black button by the hammer/cylinder.

I've been trying to decide between a 22 mag or 357. Gonna get a six inch barrel and put a red-dot on it. 22 mag actually costs more but ammo is much cheaper. Might get the 357 and shoot regular 38's for fun and load it with big boy bullets at home.

Shot it a few days ago. It was raining so I only put 18 rds thru it. It was....awesome! So fun and very acurate. Started out at our normal 21'. Sweet. 50' hit the can. I bet I can still hit it at 75'. Cant wait to try it on birds this spring. Kit stayed the night at work and was so jealous that I shot it. Maybe tomorrow if the 100 mph winds die down.

Arent those great little guns? I have a couple older ones i got when my father in law passed away. One was shot and the other still new in the box. I take the one fishing with me to shoot snakes and what not. They are a very accurate gun. Why shoot birds? Well im pretty sure he is talking about startlings and if you have ever been out in the spring in indiana you would see why we shoot them. They are nasty and cover your vehicle in crap.

It does have a safety block. Book says old colt style. Its the little black button by the hammer/cylinder. There was a free upgrade(Ship to Ruger and they ship bact to FFL dealer) for the old models with no hammer block...Most did not get sent in because by then they were collectable and worth more with out modifications.

Population control. I dont bother the sparrows but the black birds are horrible. Crap on everything. Vehicles, equiptment, etc. Usually get 30 or more a spring.

Nice. Know what you mean about the wind. A buddy and I took a new shooter to the range today so he could try out some different firearms. I took several pistols and a few rifles as did my buddy. The wind was brutal. Fingers still hurt a little.
