I've run the battle ax in the past, but due to only 7000 miles and cost have been running the dark side. Just ordered this one just to see what kinda mileage I will get from it. Delivered from Jake Wilson $149.99 which isn't a bad price. Has anyone here run this tire? Just wondering. Also came close to getting the Avon Cobra 200/60-16. Maybe next time around. Will mount this on my spare rim and swap every 10,000 miles. Will still be running the dark side for a while. If this tire gets me at least 10,000 once I wear out my dark side tires I'll probably run these.

I contacted the Bridgestone rep about using the Max tire.  He mentioned some technical reasons why it was best to use an "H rated" rear with my "H" front.  It was more than just speed related.  He indicated the first choice was the Exedra 180/70R16, as there is no Max front to fit a Valkyrie.

I now use Exedra "H" front and rear.  I like how it rides and handles.  Maybe other combinations are just as good.  Let us know how yours works out.

I just put on the Excedra Max 180/70-16 and I will be running it this season.  I hope it goes better than my last Bridgestone, I only got 6k on it and then the tire was done, scalped to crap.
