Author Topic: pinion cup clean out.  (Read 1054 times)

ready to put drive shaft into pinion cup.  is it ok to blast the cup with brake cleaner to get it clean?  My concern is will I want to get the hole cleans in the pinion cup.

The holes go through to where the final drive fluid is.

I didn't feel bad about sticking the little red WD-40 tube in there to
give a little blast to make the holes clear, I might feel a little hinkey about
having break cleaner in there... ida know...

I got the cup clean, and blasted the holes as the last step I think...

Wouldn't use brake cleaner unless the cup is off the final drive.

Try a good old fastion pipe cleaner.

Even a tooth pick. All you want to do is make sure they aren't plugged.
