Hooked up this morning with Big Al and Bernie ( Dubsvalk ) for a ride across the foothills of the Smokies. We was going to ride to Top Of The World and hit The Dragon but wanderin' around on some new roads ate the clock on us. Today was the first time I'd seen Al's new to him Fat Boy and also the first time I'd seen Dub's bike since he installed the HD fairing.

Fat Boy meets Fat Girl...

Dub's did a outstanding job on this mod it looks great and fit and finish could not be better.

Fellow at work has a Fat Boy.  They look pretty small to me.  They're pretty.....but small.  How did Harley come to name it the "Fat Boy" anyway?

They say this is an urban legend, but I read it (on the wiki  coolsmiley ) the other day:

By 1990, with the introduction of the "Fat Boy", Harley once again became the sales leader in the heavyweight (over 750 cc) market. At the time of the Fat Boy model introduction a story rapidly spread that its silver paint job and other features were inspired by the World War II American B-29 bomber; and that the Fat Boy name was a combination of the names of the atomic bombs (Fat Man and Little Boy) that were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima respectively.
