Left out Monday morning on 26 in Ky to 312 to 192 to get to Somerset,Ky to meet a friend from Danville,Ky for some riding. I've spent too much time working to get things situated around the new digs and NEEDED a ride. On way to meet a friend I was looking for these

And found a few of them......

Met up with Jim in Somerset and road to Wolf Creek Dam and Fish Hatchery

At an overlook for the Dam. Jim said they are spending millions to repair a leak on the dam. Drilling and pouring a bunch of concrete hoping to stop the leak. He said that should this dam fail Nashville would be under water. Don't know if that statements is true but a lot of money and work being spent here.

Pics snapped while riding over the dam and to the Hatchery......

The Hatchery has a visitor center..............

These 2 were at the center but are not fish. The first was stuffed and the 2nd was fed to the point of stuffed also.,...............

They take them from these.....

To these.............

And eventually to these that they keep around. Normally release what they've raised when about 6 inches

Looking up at the Dam from the Hatchery parking area.

All in all a good ride on a great day at about 250 miles on nothing bbut back roads. Temps started out at freezing, but made it to the 50's with a little wind now and then. I'll enjoy riding and scouting the local roads which are nice, I'm sure, but not like what I'll miss being so close to in the state of TN near the Smoky Mtns. It will always be my favorite place to ride. At least I'm still close enough to get down there too from time to time. Dave

Awesome report Misunderstood!  Looks like some good roads and the hatchery was pretty neat too.
Notice the "albino" in the tank near the end.  I guess that is what it is....?

The two bikes look great together. Two of my favorite bikes, Valkyrie and Sportster. Nice area to move to.

Beautiful pictures. I was born in Kentucky, but moved away before my first birthday. (Army brat, born on base at Ft Campbell.) I've only been back in the state for a total of a few hours since then. I keep thinking it would be nice to bike around it someday.
