Folks,
I'm looking for a little guidance or help, however you want to look at it. I'm trying to take my 02 Standard into the solo rider world. I've already done a couple of things toward my goal (Interstate tank and I/S Ultimate Low Boy seat) but, I'm looking for the right luggage rack to mount where the passenger seat was meant to be. I've looked at pictures of quite a few of them on this forum and I have to say there are some really nice bikes out there. But, I want a rack that is flatter than what I'm seeing. Most seem to try and match the curvature of the rear fender, that is not my intent. I want a flatter rack that extends to just short of the tail light but not beyond. I also would like to put a back rest on that same luggage rack. I thought about just modifying and moving my current luggage rack forward but, it wouldn't cover the area sufficently to satisify my goal.
I really like some of the bikes shown here, hopefully those owners don't mind me using the images. Hoser's bike has a lot of the attributes I'm looking for but, my goal is somewhat different.

It could just the the angle of the picture but, that luggage rack appears to be flatter.
Let me first say that I think the following bikes are very well done and beautiful.
Here are a couple of pictures of Highbinders bike showing that curve I'm talking about:

Similar curvature.
Having gone through numerous threads, there are scores of well done Vaikyries out there. Indivualizing a bike to the owners specific desires does not always meet the desires of everyone else out there but, I'd greatly appreciate any guidance on where I could find a luggage rack as I've described to meet my goals. Or, do I just need to build my own and then have it chromed? Thanks for any feedback.
