I had no problem with it and love the "no highways" option. Nice software.

I used the Harley route planner software for a bit, heck, I even talked it up on here a year or so ago. Did the same thing as you, wanted to d/l routes to my Zumo 550.
I played with it for a while, and it worked pretty good until I discovered a big problem, and a lot of other online software like this has this problem as well. The software works with coordinates overlaid on a map, not the map itself. It cares if the coordinates are on the middle of an intersection or 20 yards off the road... and therein lies the problem.
I would download these nice 100 mile routes with waypoints where i wanted to make turns, etc. If you had the waypoint off the road on the map, even by a small bit or if the road on the screen didn't exactly match up with it's exact coordinates in the real world, you would pass on by the waypoint and GPS would want to route you BACK to that waypoint and screw up the whole route! It got frustrating real quick.
The only fix to get routes that worked well with the Zumo was to take the plunge and learn their Map Source software. The software is archaic and a bear to learn, but once you get the hang of it, it works perfect.

Oh well.... Maybe try by setting up a different logon and this time, tell it you have a Road King. Programs sometimes just load wrong and going in differently kicks something loose. Good Luck! This seems to be just a stripped down version of Google Maps....You can do what it offers, plus a whole lot more...
