As I'm planning to attend InZane with a great group of other Ohio riders, I am THINKING about going to visit my brother in El Paso after InZane, as I did after the Colorado rally. My ever-thoughtful wife is a bit concerned about my riding alone the extra 1000 miles to see him, so I told her I would at least ask if any of the Texas riders would be headed back in the general direction of El Paso so I could have company at least part of the way. I see there are lots of you Texans attending, but I have very limited knowledge of the geography of Texas as to which cities are where except for the very large ones. Thanks for any replies. I know I'm on my own for the ride home to Ohio, but that doesn't bother me.

I'ld ride with you but it doesn't look good that I'll get to go. Try posting over on the Texas board. I know several people who are going.

I am not sure if I will get to attend yet, but would very much like to.   It will probably be a last minute thing if I get to.

It is a long haul across texas, especially the way you will be entering and where you are going.  Good news is that the speed limit is 80 once you get away from populated areas.  If you like to drive fast on your valk, you will get the chance to do it legally!

You will probably end up on on I-20 around DFW to head out there.   Keep us posted as to how you decide to proceed.  There are a lot of members around Dallas/Fort Worth.   Some of us are farther west, and quite few are in central and southern Texas.  Not sure if anyone is in the Abilene or far west Texas area.   There are some New Mexico riders, and that may be a better route in some aspects.

You never know, if I have time, even if I don't make InZane, I might be able hit I-20 and ride for a while.   The towns get fewer and farther between the farther you go west.  But there are ample places for fuel and lodging if you plan just a little.

see ya,

Craig

I'll post on the Texas board, and NM, too, if it has its own.
