G.E.T. oil = Green Earth Technologies oil

Was watching "Two Guys Garage" and I saw this advertised so I looked it up. (getg.com)
Looks pretty interesting.
Now I'm not a tree hugger but I do try to recycle and pre-cycle whereever I can. And, in this current culture, I feel the more I can do to lessen our dependency on foreign oil the better. Or at least I feel good about it in my own little world.
Shoot, I've even looked at the "used oil" that is sold now but just can't seem to get my head around that! Although it is claimed to be cleaned up, refreshed, and guaranteed.

The best I can tell is this product (GET) is made of extract from animals and vegtables which is a renewable source.
And they use containers made from recycled plastics to package it.

Among other things they also produce a synthetic oil which they claim is better than the synthetic on the market today (but of course they would say this). Don't know if it has any additives that would harm the clutches on bikes.

Anybody have any experience/thoughts on this?

Bumped this up. Can't believe noone responded from this group after all the oil discussions here.

Maybe everybody was getting ready for the Superbowl.

Or maybe no one likes me here anymore.

Either way I'll try it again.

Never have heard of G.E.T. oil. Did they have any lab results for their product? What's the price? I'm not one to experiment when it comes to the oil that goes in my Valk. As I see it I'm already using one of the better products, Rottella T6. I guess I'm a little closed minded when it comes to oil.  Grin  ???

Thanks Bones! Looks promising, but their availability of higher viscosities (above 30w) is not there apparently. At the top end, I want 40 weight. The lab results look good, I guess. Oh well, time will tell.

Absent any disclaimers,,,, and possessing all the proper certifications for automotive use that apply to using in our Valkyries,,,,

I can find no reasons for not using it!

Me, I'll stick to Schaffer.
