Ride Safe!

Pumpkin Center,LA.

« on: May 11, 2009, 08:28:24 PM »

Just wanted to say Thanks to all the great family members here.

Magoo actually made the post. I didn't feel right posting since I hadn't been on here in awhile.

My Dad was a GREAT man! He did teach us a lot and we feel very fortunate to have him as our Father. He gave us "GREAT MEMORIES" in our life. He loved showing his family a great time and always put us first.

He suffered with pain for about 18 years and was bed ridden for 6 of those years. It was very sad to see him in the shape he was in. He had retired and after he retired, him and Mom traveled on a six month vacation. Well the last part of that vacation, he fell down a 4 1/2 foot embankment and was paralized instantly. He never recovered fully. Injured his spinal cord. So, it was very sad to see him in that shape. For you see our Dad was never one to stay inside. When he wasn't working at his job, he was always outside doing something. In our eyes he could fix anything. We went on many vacations and he showed us parts of the United States. He leaves behind many great memories for us

Our Dad is walking now and not suffering or hurting anymore. He's up there with Jesus now and the rest of his family. He is seeing his Dad now. He hadn't seen him since he was 9 years old.

He was a biker also back in his teenage days.

Our family appreciates all the thought and prayers. He will be missed, but not suffering any longer.

We love ya'll.

The Hoover family!

Sorry to hear that. From the picture and what you have said about your dad, he looks like someone with lots of joy and fun to be around. I bet he kept ya'll going. You have our prayers and well wishes.

Cindy. Seems like so often people work hard and when they finally get to retire either health problems or money prevent them from enjoying the "golden years".

It sounds like your Dad was a great man and a good father. I am sure you will miss him greatly, but glad you understand he is in a better place.   Our prayers are with your family.

Everthing Moonshine said above is true thousand times over. Dad was the greatest father anyone could have. He did work at the same plant that I work at now. He had 37 years there. When we (Moonshine, Gwen our older sister and my self ) were kids, He would stop to have a beer on Friday after work, But he always brought us candy.
Dad aways as Moonshine said put his flamily first. Him and Mom loved us kids very much, and tried to show us the world. We took vacations every year to other states.
The kids had to work to do around the house. We cleaned our own rooms. The girls had to clean the inside of the house. I had the outside (grass cutting, trash take out). Yes we thought it was mean at the time. But it tought us to not be afraid of work. Now we know it was for our best.
Dad tought us and showed us so much. He was and still is the best father we could ever have. We will miss him very much.
Thanks for letting me and Moonshine try our best to decribe the father we love so so much. This is the greatest board and the best people in the world to know. I myself am very thankfull to know and meet alot of ya'll. Thanks for the prayers, and thoughts from around the country and world. Ya'll are the best.
Thanks Moonshine for being my little sister. I love you!.
Love you Dad. Magoo
