They are cheap enough, but are they any good? I'm buying a couple things on Amazon and trying to get my total $ up to get free shipping. I do need new gloves.

You get what you pay for! Read the reviews, not overwhelming support for them.  coolsmiley

I spend the extra $$ and buy Lee Park's gloves. Never had a seem split, easy to clean and come in brown or black. First pair lasted 4 years ... working on my second pair. In the warm weather I wear the regular glove but have the gauntlet for when the temps start to drop. You should check them out.

Yea I should have read the reviews. I usually do. It was late. I think I found some other stuff to buy anyway. Those Lee Parks look good. Not sure they are in the budget right now tho.

Thanks

For Winter riding, Thinsulate is a poor insulation for gloves.  Thermolite or Primaloft (synthetic down) are much warmer.  Thinsulate is used in most available winter gauntlets, but if you look, you can find the others.

A big pair of winter gauntlets with poor or no insulation will do you no good in Winter, and you won't wear them in the Summer.  I know, I have two pair that sit in the shed.

Or buy a cheap pair large enough to wear a good liner underneath.

Lee's got good stuff  cooldude manufactured by Sullivan Glove
http://www.sullivanglove.com/Scripts/default.asp

I am biased because my wife worked for sullivan gloves for more then 20 years

American produced, tanned, cut and sewed. open thier gloves stick your nose in you will NOT smell something funky, you WILL only smell leather.

I've meet Lee, he's a little full of himself but he's a good dude.
