Well I guess Clark let the cat out of the bag. This is my first time on the site since my heart attack, BigBF told me about the thread and I say THAK YOU ALL for the prayers and well wishes from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am doing well and Dr. says I can get back to work this coming monday. Also I am cleared to ride again as soon as I feel I can. I knew something was wrong and was being tested for heart problems. I was actually in my Cardo Dr. waiting room when it happened. Pretty lucky huh? I had a blockage that took 4 stints to fix, worst case my Dr. had worked on. Phew, it was quite an ordeal. Connie (Queenbee) Has been taking care of me and deserves a huge thanks for putting up with me. Thanks so much Connie! I have been staying at her house but today I believe I will go home as I am getting around very well now. Still some pain from the groin area where the went in but not too bad anymore. I have been walking since two days after the attack and slowly adding more distance. Been able to walk for almost two blocks now. This Monday will be two weeks since the attack. Well all I again thank you for the support and prayers and hope to be back on the Valk very soon. I send peace and love your way, all I ask is that you spread it around as there is not enough in this world! Chuck

Good for you Chuck... Glad to hear you're on the mend. Strengthen up and get back to the action. You certainly were in the right place when it happened.

I had a similar health situation about 4 years ago. For me the best road to recovery was following the doctors orders.
Like you my doctor did not discourage motorcycle riding, but to ride within your abilities considering your health issues. My doctor reconized the importance to me that my motorcycle riding has. He very much impressed upon me the need to drink water and more water and more water.
I dont know if your situation requires you to attend heart rehab classes (mine did). I thought it was a waste of time and money until I attended the first session. I was so impressed. It was a monitored excersise class with a once a week nite lesson about heart health.
I did research about heart health and medicines while off work. The internet was a blessing in that regard. Lots of info.
Good luck with your recovery. Try not to stress your heart.
Greg

Your situation kinda reminds me of mine...i was having chest pains I thought was heart burn. My doctor sent me in for a stress test,I failed it!! who would of thought that. Three days later I had a quadruple by pass that was done in 2010. I also went to heart rehab classes 3 times a week and feel great now.I cut down on cheese burgers and such . I hope your better soon and back on your lady (hmm maybe that did not come out right) I'm talking about your bike. Good luck.
