John and I want to make it, depending on how the surgery comes out next week, that will tell the tale.  We are holding off  registering until we see how that goes, and if I will have to do the chemo thing after.   We spent a week up there a couple of years ago in the fall poking around on the sport bikes, had a blast ratting out southern Mo and northern Ark.  Some great roads and scenery.  Lots of stuff to see too.  Pea Ridge is near if you are into the War of Northern Agression.   This will be the second go round on the procedure, first one lasted 4 years, so it was a great success.  Hoping this time will do it for good.  We havent decided yet what bikes we will bring, I am thinking the Concours 1400, fast with sterling handling, and with the Corbin setup more  comfy than the ZX14.

I have spoken with the Hotel.  When you call, you DO want to go ahead and put your name on the waiting list. If your name is on there, you will be called if something comes available...which is possible.  The other hotel has been closed for the season and reopens on Friday, February 17.  After you have put your name on the waiting list at ground zero, you do need to call the other hotel for a reservation.  You can call them now and leave a message or you can wait until the 17th and call.  This other hotel is within walking distance of ground zero, and we will be filling it with VRCC members, as well.  The telephone number for the other hotel is 800-221-3344.  Be sure to first call ground zero before calling the other hotel, and don't put it off too long.  I would not be surprised if we fill up this other hotel, too!

You DO NOT want to make a reservation on line, as the rate on their website is $130.95 and that is considerably more than a room with the VRCC rate.

See y'all in July in Eureka Springs!

I jumped the gun(before I read your post) and reserved five nights at the Regency for $220. total. Hope it works out....

The first InZane I attended we stayed at a less expensive motel across town from Ground Zero.  After that experience I swore I would always afterward stay where the party is.

A few things you miss out on if you stay away from the host hotel.  Staying at the host hotel supports the event.  The hotel provides us vendor and gathering space as well as other services which are paid for partially by the guest fees at the hotel.  Ground zero is filled with InZane attendees.  That's meaningful because when the after hours activities are going on you'll be right near your room, and because everyone there is attending InZane you won't have guests complaining if you're up after midnite at the pool.  Your Valkyrie will be parked among hundreds of others in parking not competing with guests' cages.  It's just a richer experience where the Valkyrie crowd is staying.

Eureka Springs is a hotel rich environment and with very little searching people can find cheaper places to stay.  They will not be the quality of the host hotels, they won't be contributing to the event, and they won't be filled with InZaniacs.  Every year there are Valkyrie riders who choose to stay away from the host hotel, usually motivated by a cheaper room rate.  Almost without fail they all determine that next year they'll stay at Ground Zero.

If the expense of the hotel room would keep someone away, we have made an agreement with a lesser quality and less expensive hotel for a few rooms, but they will be away from Ground Zero.

The Regency is 3.5 miles away.
