A co-worker of mine swears by them.  He spends A LOT of time in front of the computer and on his iPhone.  Said he's gotten iPads for around $150.  Which means the seller sold it for $15,000 at $1 per bid.  I believe that's how it works.

I signed up for quibids..and to be honest I think it's just another con..each bid you make costs you $.60, then if you are the winner of the item you pay whatever that cost is as well.. so if you make 25 bids (25 x .60) then get an item for 5 bucks.. (15.00 + 5) so you may have spent 20 bucks for a 15 dollar item, not to mention that other people are bidding as well....10 other people bidding 10 times is 6 bucks each, so 60 bucks from them has also been spent on that 15 dollar item...winner is the seller, period..
Might be a good deal on big buck items if you only make a few bids and are lucky enough to get the item,,,but the seller still wins..for example,,,a go-pro camera sells for 43.50  = 4,350 bids at a cost of .6 ea = 2610 + 43.50 for a $299 camera..you tell me who wins the prize????

Both win the prize.  The buyer paid $43.50 plus 60 cents per bid (maybe 10 bids), so the buyer paid a total of $50 for a $300 camera.  The seller makes out muuuuuuch better.  But the both make out.  The loser is the person who doesn't win the item.  They still have to pay for their bids.

If your total #of bids and actual cost of the item turn out to be less than the original price, then I agree the buyer wins..just have a true idea of what it's costing you..I doubt seriously that you'll get any 300 dollar item by making only 10 bids...
In their training session qui bids suggests you be prepared to pay retail...yes there will be buyers that actually get a deal and many bidders that get something else..

Sit back and watch.

I did and walked away seeing too many auctions close in the last split second. How do we know the seller isn't bidding up OR making the alst winnign bid if the tiem sells for less $$$ than the seller wanted?

Also do you REALLY need the stuff being sold?
