Can you help me identify the seat on my Valkyrie?. I think it is an Ultimate Big Boy but it does not have the 'V' on the rear of the seat. The stiching looks like an Ultimate and they appear to be leather. Probably a number of years old.  Are there other people making Ultimate type seats?

It's an Ultimate.

I can't verify that it's a Big Boy at a glance.

sure looks like an Ultimate set, you can order them without the V or the Ultimate name stitched on.

How is the backrest mounted? Does it insert into the back of the driver's seat or is it mounted on a separate arm that bolts to the fender? If the the latter, it's an Ultimate King Boy. To be sure of which of the three models, you need to measure the width. Then go on the Ultimate website and check it out. Yes, it is and can be an Ultimate...with or without the V.
