   I went to the Indy 500 for the first time 3 years ago and was not prepared for the level of engine noise. The Indy cars are not currently turbo charged and the exhaust being totally unmuffled was almost deafening. Turbo cars are loud but nothing I've experienced including a pack of stock cars on a 1/4 mile dirt track compare to the Indy cars.
