It was pretty cold today but I did ride about 10 miles today. Not a long ride I know but it felt good. High was 23 degrees. Was about 11 degrees when I started out. Can hardly wait till summer. www.coloradolongridersmc.com tommy t

I know what ya mean... I am the only one I see on the roads in the winter time almost. Then comes late Spring & all ya see is motorcycles. When it gets below zero I wear extreme Carhartts. Chaps don't cut it don't ya know? Love to ride & won't let a little cold weather stop me. Ice & snow for sure but not cold alone. www.coloradolongridersmc.com

Surgery is never fun. Have to totally dress for the weather whether is is cold or hot. When it gets around zero degrees my hands get really cold. Nothing I have ever found keeps your hands warm. Bought some electric gloves a few years back & my battery failed & I ended up with frost bite on my finger tips. It was 10 below zero that day. Don't know if the battery just decided to go or the gloves caused too much amp draw. I still have the gloves & they are brand new...only wore them that one time. I had a VTX 1800 at the time & got a ride to a Sears store & bought a die hard battery & went back to install it & the bike would not start. Thought the gasoline had frozen in the carb. Had it towed to a dealership. They found the wiring harness connector to the fuel pump had been disconnected when I removed the battery. I even pressed it back together after the batterey was in but not good enough I guess. Picked a bad day to ride that day. www.coloradolongridersmc.com

50 above with lotsa sunshine or she continues to hold down the garage floor. 49 and i don't ride. As i get older my minimum riding temperature goe up also. Takes entirely too long to thaw out now. And it fer durn sure do not help the arthritis. RIDE SAFE.

I've ridden just about everyday the last two weeks, didn't go out today due to slick roads from last nights snow but, low temps won't stop me. Rode to work the other day and it was 22 degrees F. Last Tuesday I met up with Hal from Indiana and a in-between location and is was about 35 when I pulled out of the garage. If the roads are dry, I'll ride into work. If not, I'll be in the cage.

I wonder what the wind chill is when the temperatue is in the teens & you are doing 70 mph on the freeway for about 40 miles? I have done that many, many times over the years. Not that I like being real cold (72 years old now) but it's just the ride. I always have many layers of warm clothes on & my EXTREME CARHARTT'S on as well. All bunbled up that way makes it kinda hard to move around sometimes but I manage. I have to admit that Spring time & Autumn are the best times to ride. Just a couple more months of this cold stuff. However, sometimes here in Colorado the Springs get a LOT of snow & it stays cold. We have a 1,000 Miles in 24 Hours ride coming up in July. I usually leave at 4:00 AM on those so I get the cool night air. Going all over Wyoming this year. Check out www.coloradolongridersmc.com

Thanks Detn8er for explaining why it felt so cold going over the bridge today
Lets see 27 degrees and 65 mph into a 30mph cross wind
What it is I dont know as I dont understand how to factor cross winds
I do know my fingertips sure felt cold even with the heated grips on high
Only had a thirty mile ride today, it kinda looks like it may snow even tho the weatherman says no snow Dont understand why I didnt see one other bike out today
