Has anyone tried to install this cruise control on your IS. I don't think it would work for a standard or a tourer model. Would it be any better than the CCS-100 model. I have the CCS-100 model right now but it has been in for 8 years and you never know when it could quit.
Here is the link.

Any comments.

Mine from Australia has been on MGM since January 98, no problems and it still maintains + or - 3 mph on hils flat curves whereever I'm at and have it set at.
If it still works, leave the damn thing along, all you will do is muck it up. Don't ask how I know. Just say 79 years of experience.

I am interested in installing a cruise control on my 2000 IS. Does this system need an extra speed sensor or does it use the IS electronic speed sensor? I dont really wont to bolt a extra sensor to the wheels. Thanks

If it works the same as the model everybody else has used in the past, it picks up engine speed from the coils, you just have to solder into them.

The IS uses a VSS to control the electronic speedo instead of a cable model like the Standard/Tourer use.

According to the info it comes with a VSS sensor, so there is no reason it couldn't be used in any Valk. When I get ready to install one on mine, this will be what I use, with the magnet mounted in the rear wheel with the wiring set up under/along the swing arm.

don't know about it, i've got the one that uses vacuum, pulled the vac off of cylinders 1 & 2 without a canister, works fine. i would say that it was the best "item" i instaled on my cycle. i use it everytime i ride.
