Just installed some used cobra passenger boards I got from the classifieds. Downloaded and followed instructions, remove original and install these(lame). One side seems to lean slightly to the back and the other to the front. By the looks they are designed to go the way I have them since the have a hole drilled for a small locator dowel on the bracket, but it just does't seem right to me. I think I'm gonna have to drill a new hole on the one for the right side.
Opinions?????

I had no problems when I put mine on.  Did you try to switch them?

Seemed like the angel would have been even more awkward if I switched them, since the little locator pin is different on either side, but the overall position would make more sense to me if I switch them. Nothing else to do at the moment, gonna go give it a try.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw this earlier but hesitated to post as I figured he already tried that and I didn't know if there was a right and left. Let us know if that was the issue........

i'd say ya got them right..but heres what i did to mine to keep them from rotating everytime my wife got on..below the front of the mount there is a bolt..that the mount should rest against..but mine would rotate down below the bolt because the bolt was'nt sticking out far enough..remove that bolt and put a couple of flat washers on it..then reinstall..now when you put the boards back on..and tighten them down..make sure the mount is resting on that bolt..pay no attention to that line up nub..

Tried swapping sides, way worse with the boards being almost vertical when lining up the pin, just drilled another hole in the left side to get it to sit right while it was off. I think this is much better. Now I need to clean the bike and get all those damn fingerprints off. Smiley Hope the wife like them, had the valk 6 months now, but she has't had the chance to go for a ride with me yet, between either needing a sitter or weather when we have one it just hasn't happened. Sad
