Saw a set on a Valky recently, and I really want to add them to mine, I have 99 Interstate Cruiser, however, all the ads say that they won't fit on the Interstate Valky, any ideas? Will they fit with modification? or am I just outta luck? Any help would be appreciated!

I just purchased a set from http://www.aeromachmfg.com/V_Stacks_Honda_Valkyrie_p/am-2410hc.htm but found out they are in production and will not be ready for a number of weeks. The site says they don't fit an interstate, but the link that BonS shared should get them to work okay.

Here's another shot showing my 97 Standard Trike that also has an Interstate tank with the stacks installed. I have a spacer under the front mounting bolt and some thick rubber strips on the left and right of the underside of the tank for additional side support.

Thanks for all the help! I really didn't want to buy $200+ of parts I wouldn't be able to use! I think I should have those on by summer, hoping to get a set of the LED's inside the stacks also, I found a link earlier today that had the V-stacks at 199.99, (directline honda parts) so after a little more shopping around, think I will get this done! Trying to get some time off to take the ride to Arkansas this summer, that should make it worthwhile!

These arrrr my idea of 'stacks'. Perhaps viking stacks is a better term. Haven't been able to find anybody who builds them. The rider used to live in my apartment building however due to his age now rides the other type of two wheeler. Still rolling along though.

I combined BigBF' method with my own. For me I felt BigBF method of "adjusting" the pod engine guard mounts was too extreme by itself. It left the pods a little more tweaked from position then I liked. So I did a semi-bracket-tweak and then v-cut the 2 forward stacks [carefully] to within 0.125" of the fitted pods. The stack cuts were different between the 2 sides. The pods maintain just about a perfect position and the stack cuts are extremely hard to see. Note: I polished the raw cut edges to look like chrome on the table grinder w/polishing wheel. I'm happy with the end result and appears to be by design. Sorry, but I can't find an appropriate pic with the pods installed with stack view. Use extreme caution and assume the risk of trashing a couple of stacks.

What does the shifter side look like and who made them? I assume it is a complete forward control kit?

Brian, That was the 'Forward Controls' sold by Big Bike Things. http://www.bigbikethings.com/newcontrols.htmlUnfortunately, I was never able to get use to them and always had issues shifting. To me it seemed that there were too many pivot points for the shifter to engage properly at times. I was always adjusting them. I've since gone back to the standard brake pedal with the Kuryakyn cover and for the shifter I'm using the one for a CBR1100XX. It works great!

I have held off from buying the velocity stacks because I did not want to raise my tank, but I dont have an I/S I have a Tourer, having a Tourer does that mean I can just buy and install them without any tank mods? I would really like to put a set on if no mods are required on a standard size tank.

How is it better than the stock one? The shifter from the CBR1100XX bends out further away from the body of the bike making it much easier to get at. Look at the following link and scroll down to Shifter Pedal Swap (CBR-1100-XX); http://www.qsl.net/w5cgh/valkyrie.html

Thanks Carl Somewhere I read if you raise your tank the chrome engine hangers will no longer fit, but it looks like they are no longer made anyway. I'm still coming down in the spring to that place you was telling me about!!
