Thanks to all the great people in the Detroit area who emailed saying that they were willing to help me with this issue. I think we have about accomplished the task. It is great to be part of such a great Club. cooldude I look forward to seeing you guys at one of our rides this year. I might just ride up to MI to buy your lunch.

Hey, Just an FYI...

If you take the trunk apart and ship the pieces seperatly it is cheaper than trying to sent the Hole thing....

the smaller the box, the lower the price..... weight isnt always the issue...

I sent the trunk box (bottom and lid) itself in the smallest possible box for under $50 to texas..... took off the top rack and the speakers -they fit inside the trunk-and left just enough room for some bubble wrap..... if the size of the box was just an inch or so larger in most dimensions the price doubled or tripled........ I used the shipping calculator on the US web site to gauge the price..

Also if the mounting brackets are removed and dissasembled would help..... I got a new set and the shipping cost was under $10 bucks......

Check it out before you ship... Also it can be cheaper to ship regular than to use the "one price" boxes at USPS.......

Just and FYI for anybody...

Brad
