I cant find the part numbers through my Honda books, does anyone know if the Valk diff (03 Standard) is the same as a 97 Goldwing (Gl1500).  I have an opportunity to pick up a free one and if it is the same as my Valk, I will take the trip to pick it up.
Look forward to your comments.

Short answer, no.

The 'wing diff has a different drive shaft bolt pattern.

I believe others have posted that the internal gears are the same.

If not, I wonder if you could put the gears (fit) inside a Valk from a GW, and what the rear ratio might change to.

Nah, I tried it last summer on a friends bike. The ring gear & pinion has different numbers for a 'Wing than a Valk. Tried like hell to make 'em fit...  ended up getting another Valk final drive.

I would get it if it's in good shape. The gear sets are the same.
