With phone tech support from Joe, and help from Jon R., managed to get my maint stuff done today.
Darkside tire, double row wheel bearings, final drive maint, nut cage mod, and fender washer mod was all on the menu for the morning...

Wife helped me get it on the lift last night... little big for my lift, but very very solid up there. This will help with the old back thats for sure!

Torn down! Extension off the end of the lift, jack under the center stand.

Another look at it on the lift. Laugh all you want, This is tons better than just a jack for this job!

This was the only surprise.. at some point along the way someone took the chrome bolts and nutserts out from under the fender and put in grade 8 bolts with hug nylock nuts... that got the bolt turned around and acorn nut on the outside... much better now and no worries of rubbing.

New tire installed, double row bearings already in the wheel, new valve stem while I was at it. Great local bike shop mounted and balanced it with no problems.

Double row bearing spacer getting trimmed down. This worked great! Then run a die grinder with a sandpaper on it around the sharp edges.

Final drive flange... looked great no showing of wear at all on it!

Pinion cup, teeth looked good on this and both ends of the driveshaft. Also pulled the ujoint and it looked and felt great as well.

Final drive teeth... These looked good, and still had a fair amount of paste in it. I cleaned it up and added fresh grease, so this should be good to go till next winter!
A big thanks to Joe and JDW for the moral support on the phone, and to Jon R for spending a day in my heated shop messing with my bike!
