Author Topic: hand brake switch  (Read 898 times)

Went to take my bike out of the barn and noticed my hand brake light switch was stuck in the off position. My Q. is. Is there and easy fix to get it working or do I just go buy one. I took it off but I dont know if it come apart with out tareing it up.  Need a little valk help. TIA. Danny

Look carefully. You'll find a small vent hole. Spray some contact cleaner in there and work the switch. After that spray some TefLube in it. Test the switch with an ohm meter.

did the spray thing, the lube thing, and a few other verbal things,switch is stuck in the off position. honda dealer had three in stock so i just bought on $13.00. will still work on the old one just to see if I can get it to work. thanks for the advice.  thought of cutting it open but I will see if the cleaner and lube works first. thanks again all.  Danny
