My wife and I were out yesterday and passed a sign for a garage sale, my stomach cringed and I hoped she wouldn't see the sign. She did, we stopped.
I came home with a Tourmaster Textile jacket, with a nice fleece liner. Fits like it was made for me. She came home with a Joe Rocket womens mesh jacket. Both are perfect fit and as new condition...$20.00 for both cooldude

we actually do garage sale... Wife got her leather jacket at one, and I bought this at one years ago:

To bad it looked like ridged framed bobber when i got it... Hate it when people destroy a 7k mile bike with a grinder and black spray paint!

Great score!

I love garage and yard sales. I've scored some GREAT stuff for short money. Canoes, kayaks, baseball and hockey equipment, guitars, furniture, bike parts, I got my current ride on mower for 25 bucks. The seller was sure the motor was seized. Turns out that it just needed a battery and a diode that mice had chewed through in the ignition circuit. 50 bucks and an hours worth of work and I've got an early 2000's model John Deere lawn tractor that runs flawlessly.

I LOVE GARAGE SALES!!!  my wife and i go every single week that we get together.  i've been searching for auctions too but it's still too early around here.  once a year the neighborhood puts on a group garage sale were the day before it's open to the neighbors only.  one guy had authentic government papers reguarding WWII, i guess he was some kind of comander back then.  you'd never know it, never know what you'll find either, for dirt cheap!!

In 1992 when my mom passed away, I cleaned out her apartment,  I mean everything.    I figured I'd have a garage sale and get rid of it.   15 big assed boxes of stuff is still setting in my garage taking up space.

Told the grandkids I'm rent a tent for them for a sale if they so desired and that they could have all the receipts.    NO takers......    She also had a big assed console TV.

A couple of years ago, I plugged it in and hung a set of rabbit ears and it worked.    Now when I go to the garage to play or get out of the house, that TV is on.

I figure now, the kids will have the joy of getting rid of that stuff when I die.

And that right there is a no $hitter. 2funny My little town took it upon themselves to have you buy a garage sale "permit". uglystupid2 The permit is $5.00 for a weekend and you are only "allowed" 4 sales a year. crazy2 The fine for having a garage sale i believe is $75.00.  Undecided Well some folks here were having sales all day everyday. I "thought"that was free enterprise. cooldude RIDE SAFE.
