what parts are needed to do my front forks if they were leaking?  they're not, i'm just thinking if they do, i'll have the parts in hand and ready to go.  or, what have you guys done to "better" your front end?

2 each
#21 (seals/wipers)
#9 (bushing)
#10 (bushing)

#9 #10 are the wearable bushings...some folks skip replacing those. I replace them, generally at 50,000 miles when my forks start leaking.

Occasionally, at least one #28 (if one needs replacing then might as well do both).

Better to have these and not need them then the other way around.

The previous owner of my Interstate had the fork seals replaced and "helpers" installed. Looking at the receipt, it is listed as "gold valve," whatever that means. You road my cycle, so you have an idea of how she handles.

I sent you a word doc that covers this. It helped me a lot. If you're not changing springs, you don't need the special tool.
