Is anyone aware of a comprehensive directory of mc campgrounds??

I'm planning a trip along the BRP, then to DC, back west through WV....Or any suggestions along those areas?  I've found two along the BRP, but looking for more.

Thanks.

Go to Google and  type in motorcyclw campgrounds, BRP will be one of your choices.

Try this link.

Google (Motorcycle campgounds on BRP)

http://www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com/
http://www.willvillebikecamp.com/
http://www.highcountrymotorcyclecamp.com/
http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/
http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/v.php?pg=858
http://kickstandlodge.com/

Now, if you want more sites, do like I said above.

Google Motorcycle campgrounds on BRP

What I listed above is just the tip of the iceburg.

I got tired of clicking, copying and pasteing or I'd of added more.

Haven't found a MC Campground listing......but I did find this one, which lists mostly Local, State, and National Parks.......

http://www.uscampgrounds.info/default.html

Seems to be quite comprehensive, and fortunately will not list any KOA's!!  or "commercial" campgrounds, which cater to the RV' and pop up's.  Not to mention it seems they charge almost as much for a basic tent site as a full RV site.....

That has been my biggest gripe to M/C camping.  Basic tent= $20   Tent spot with power outlet (to recharge iphone and use laptop)= $30 (same as if I had a full size camper w/ 2 AC units.)  Hotel down the road= $35.

I don't know of any other motorcycle only campgrounds but this is a good one:

http://www.willvillebikecamp.com/

It is just off of the BRP at Meadows of Dan, VA (MM 177)

This isn't motorcycle only but it is nice and serene:

After a week of searching, I've found another nice site....Gotta love the name!!

http://freecampsites.net

Other interesting facts I've discovered.  If you don't mind "roughing" it a bit, it seems that the USFS parks are usually free or very low priced.  No reservations, fcfs.

Also disappointed to find out the the NPS, as well as many other states (Missouri for one) has a fee based reservation system, which if you are staying one night, the reservation fee can be as high as 66% of the camping fee!
