My trunk is latched.     It is a HD so it only opens to the left side.
Looks to me like the latches in the Oct. calendar are unlatched, ie not closed.  The lid is shut, but not latched down.  Just pickin' at cha.  Fine machine you have there...  my baby just turned 109k Monday on the way home from werk.

I just jumped the sons bride about that.

She said she got Rex out of the way and pulled the camera out to shoot the picture.

So yupper old Eagle Eye, it is unlatched.

But, with her butt on the seat, it can't get open as the armrests will hold it down.     LOL. tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff cooldude cooldude cooldude

I was following an old Harley this summer and back about a dozen or so car lengths when all of a sudden the right bag lid had lift off. I stopped  and he rode on. I finally caught him he never knew it (?) and stopped him. He never said hi goodbye or go to hell, just took it from me and took off. Should have left it on the side of the road.

Happened to me a few years back.  Took off from a light kinda hot, hopped some RR tracks, and a fast Mustang was trying to keep up.  No traffic so I let the Valk run.  Came up to a light and the guy pulls up and says..... dude, I'm not racing, I'm trying to catch you to tell you your bag lid popped off back on the RR tracks.

Dohhhhh.   crazy2  (IS bag ties are back in place)

Thanked him and Ueyed back to get it before it got run over.

Hooter, you did the right thing, even for no thanks.  Virtue is supposed to be it's own reward.

I watched a ladies purse come flying off the top of her car.

Stopped, grabed it and took off in hot pursuit with the red/blues flashing.

She pulled over, I pulled up beside her and handed her her purse, I think I could have had my way with her for retrieving and chasing her down with her purse.

I've seen drinks come flying off, a billfold, and numerous other things that was put on the roof while they did something else getting ready to leave.

I'm setting in traffic at a light by the local Village Market. I look over into the parking lot just in time to see a woman just start to move with her kid on the trunk lid in a baby seat. I flipped everything on and cut a bunch of cars off and almost got hit, twice.
Luckily she stopped when she heard the siren not know where it was coming from. I pulled up beside her. She yelled at me, "what the hell did I do"? I said: "maybe you forgot something on your trunk"! She bailed out and started crying. Nuff said, but I was an ass for stopping her///// crazy2

I  had the city manager for D & D and obstructing. She tried to fire me on the spot the drunken broad..I arrested the mayor and 2 police comishiners that were together from an adjacent town at 4:00 in the morning for illegal gambling and obstructing. Busted the bar they were in. The judge shut that down for the summer. The mayor threatened to fire me.  2funny  LMAO! He wasn't my boss and I told him so, he couldn't do it, and it pissed him off severly, thus the obstructing charge. The ol "I'll have your badge statement"!   2funny Oh, I arrested the chiefs daughter, drugs. I called him before I transported her and he said: "take her ass to jail". So, I did. I usually found myself in some kind of political mess....but I didn't care. They are no different than anyone else.
I'd tell ya about the self proclaimed hit man outa Chicago I arrest but its a long story. These were all funny situations.

I'd almost bet we could each one write a book about arrests of politicians.

I had several top officials tell me they wanted my Badge.    I usually shut them up on that with here it is, if you want it so bad.   They would back away.

I remember one night; I pulled a City Council member over in LA County.  She pulled that crap and when we went to court I offered my Badge to the Judge.  He said I'll see you in my Chambers.    The Judge said we will take a 30 minute recess.    Got back there with her Attorney and I thought I was going to get the ass chewing.  The Judge laid it on the Attorney's ass for bringing something like that up in Court.

He also told the Attorney, he had considered giving her a sentence of do Probation and several hours of Community Service.     He told the Attorney for that outbreak in Court she will do time, she will have a large fine and lose her Driving Privileges for a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 3 years.   He said the DMV's would be the final on this DUI Charge.

She ended up losing her license to drive for 4 years, fined the maximum and 5,000 hours of Community Service, and had to call her Probation officer every week for the  duration of the Community Service.

My wife has worked contract security for DOE for many years.  One day, some deputy assistant undersecretary had left her ID in the trunk, and refused to get out in the rain to show it.

I'm a high muckety muck, don't you know me?

No maam, I don't know you, and even if I did, I still have to see an ID to let you enter this secure area.

The woman got out and retrieved her ID, but cussed her a blue streak and threatened to have her job.  The man in the car behind was the DOE Chief of Security.  The wife received a spot award for professional diligence and courtesy, and a Franklin, and the undersecretary was officially reprimanded. (and the reprimand ended up on several public bulletin boards)

I remember one 'Don't you know who I am?'

Asked her if she knew who I was.

She said you are a CHP officer on a motorcycle.

I said I guess that means the argument is over.

She shut up and was a mild as they come.
IF, she would have kept her mouth shut in the 1st place,
I'd of probably gave her a warning, and turned her loose.

Some people just don't know how to control their tempers.

That just about hit it on the nose, except we couldn't say that at a traffic stop.

Can only say something like that to a fellow Brother, if it is a lady LEO, you might have to rethink your response.     Or get stuck with Sexual Harrassment.

Well? Where I come from some of these jerks we dealt with only knew: "shut up I wasn't talking to you". I didn't and don't care for politics but have to "play the game" on occasion more now than ever. But if it smells like it, and looks like it, thats what I call it to this day. Some people can deal with the truth, but most or some of these politically correct people can't. They carry sugar in their pockets and when you try  to and have a conversation with em  it will make you diabetic.

Had 3 of my fellow officers fired off of the force for sexual harassment.

One of them was a female.

She got railroaded.   She was an innocnet bystander, and one of the ladies who reported the harrassment, falsely identified her.      6 of us fellow officers tried to testify for her and de firkin Judge wouldn't allow it.

Ya suppose that is why he no longer set on the bench after the next election?

The Lady LEO left California, she was single, and moved to Alaska.    AST'ers gave her a 120 day probation, and she passed it with flying colors.   Last I knew, she maried a fellow officer and they are both assigned out of the Fairbanks area.   Her husband it a Sgt, and she is a Lt.     She has a degree and hubby doesn't, but he is working on it.

She was a great officer, went by the book and no BS when in a stop or working a case.

She had my back & I had hers for about 7 months.

I tried to diversify the fire department. There were a few difficulties specially with some of the pigs on the department. I took care of that in short order and fired one of them that just couldn't get it. I thought the problems were with the guys for the most part and that was what I had witnessed.
I did an internal investigation and found at that time that my suspicions were right.
NOW LET 3 MONTHS GO BY:
She showed up to a house fire in a damn string bikini. I didn't know until I got back to the station and there she was looking like a, well never mind. Full makeup and not much left to the imagination. The floor was slippery from slobber fromt he guys.  She was easy on the eyes and she knew it but I had never seen her really flaunt it.
I called her into to my office with 2 of my other officers and the Township Clerk / trustee whom was a female. My first question was: Why did you show up dressed like that? Reply: I was at the pool when the tones dropped. I stated: "Please don't do it again", its bad enough with these guys this just doesn't help". Reply: She stood up and spun around and said: "you don't like what you see"? I didn't reply and told her to "go home and put some cloths on and then come back. Her reply" Well *uck you then"! I fired her on the spot. Then I had a meeting with the entire department.

Yupper, we is to get below freezing tonight and maybe a high of around 50 tomorrow.

It is all Bush's fault.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>                   >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Anyone remember all the 4377 coming out of DC about the Rodeo Clown who wore a face mask looking like our you know what?

Today I run across a picture of a Rodeo Clown wearing one of Bush.   I'm too tired right now to try and get the 2 pictures posted to my photo book.

I can't even find it on this box now.       Sure is strange the way this box eats things and don't leave a trace.      Worst problem is I don't recall who sent it to me.

Dat feller in dare now is kind of touchy.     Bush no holler about it......

Well for one, I'm not afraid of much, but clowns, that is a whole other story. I'm one of those that think there is something wrong with clowns in general. Somethin spooky bout em... Evil. Had a partner of mine (on the same dept I was  police)  rent a clown for his wifes Bday. When he showed up he snuk up on me at the wisdom of my partner. I told him to back **cking off if he wanted to see another day. This guy was a little bigger than me. I'm 6'1" 225 and this guy was roughly a couple inches taller and 10lbs heavier.
He stayed, I left. The next day at work (doing PPDT Training) I punched my partner in the forehead. He knew the gig with me and clowns and set this ass up to do what he did. No wonder he asked me if I was packin when I got there? I told him no, why should I, I'm at his house? Not too tough to figure out. He is still my friend and apologized for doing it.
