Yes is was Sunny and 81 degrees, but we managed to make a good trip out of it anyway.

To all those who could not attend, you missed a great trip.

2232 miles,,From Clinton Town to old Key West and back.

My Dad did constructon there(1956 or 57) for MJ my great grandpa, he slept on the beach and got the Flu whilst there, but made it

back with some more college money.

He gave it to Uncle Carolyn to go to Germany to see her husband, who was in the US Army at the time, Tank Driver.

Uncle Dick was bad to lie as he told stories about the Army he was supposed to already have served in, he then was drafted.

Life has a way of outting a liar sometimes.

Dad finally made it back to college to earn a Bachelor of Science in Forestry.

Thanks for all those that bid well wishes and prayed for us to have a safe trip.

God Blessed with no break downs,no accidents and pretty weather.

Crowded to say the least at the landmark, but we squeezed a few off on the DIGITAL camera anyway.

These things are everywhere in Key West. Lotsa chickens running everywhere, this one was photogenic.

This is Mad Dog from Knoxville Tennessee.

This plauque tells a great story. One of the keys , don't remember which had this road side marker.

Glad to see you guys made it OK. Very surprised to see that they let you park the bike near the 90 Miles to Cuba marker.

Hopefully you got to the west end and caught the sunset

Never ask for permission, only for forgiveness.

No one let me.

Just jumped off and took a picture.

Found a spot just 10 places up and then took the rest of my pictures.

Hey ChromeDome, what is this conglomeration.

Looked suspicious,,like a secret listening post or smething, just past a fence and the 90 miles to Cuba Marker.

Took this through the fence.

It might be cool to live at Key West if you could live here:

When I was there a few years ago a similar house, but much in need of repair,
was for sale... for 1.5 million or so...

Lived 18 months  in Key West while in a Army Hawk Missile Outfit in 1963-1964. Back then it was not crowded and very laid back. On a Sunday afternoon a bicycle trip around the outside of the island could be done with no traffic problems. Went back a few years ago, and the island was crowded with people and traffic. Still a neat place to visit.

That little building with what looks like a ball on top is most likely a camera dome with tracking capabilities.

Probably military stuff. You got the Naval Base & Coast Guard Station so I'm guessing that is what it is for ... that or a SETI station.

This is what I think.  I have seen these FCC dipole antennas here in Texas out on the plains.  They are used to triangulate signals and pinpoint their location based on signal strength and direction...

Cool,, Thanks for the info fellas.

SETI,,,I found no extra terrestrial Intelligence there.

A lot of the fellas were carrying man purses.

The girls were not shaving their legs and wearing ball caps.

I guess it's a Key West Thing.

Although I suspect some sort of Homo Behavior may exist there.

Did not stay long, ate at Fridays and left for Florida City that afternoon.

Sure was a cool place and beautiful riding was abundant.
