I was out riding today and saw this guy. His name is Mark. I kinda chased him down, he was making the lights, I wasnt. Any way, I caught up to him at one of the Honda dealers. He was having his front tire rebalanced. He just had new tires put on. We talked while they did the work about an hour and he has not heard of the VRCC. What????? Owns a valkyrie and has never heard of the VRCC? Well I told him about it and to join, its free with a PLETHORA of information on the tech board. He saw my cartire and just about sh!t himself. He now wants a car tire. Too bad he just put new tires on.

He is getting ready to head out to Daytona Saturday morning so he doesnt want to join today. He says he has a lot of packing and things to do. If he gets on this site, he will end up reading everything and not make it to Daytona. So he will join after he gets back. He bought the bike and rode it for a while but one day in his driveway he fell to the right. He said it took a while for him to pick it up BY HIMSELF. He said he thought..."what happens if I drop it at a red light". That is why he now has the side car.

So If anyone sees him in Daytona give him a warm welcome and tell him you read about him on this site.

If someone sees and recognizes him, they should show him how to pick up that fat lady if he should happen to drop her again. First he has to get rid of that side car.

He only has one leg.

Looks like his leg just disappears beside the side car. Makes me feel very small with a response like that, which is why I pulled it, my apology also.

I wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't pointed out. I usually only look close at bikes, guns and girls.  Grin

Heck, don't feel bad, I missed that also.  Didn't realize it till it was mentioned.  So much for my eyesight.

He was saying something about sidecar races in Daytona. He said he gets up to triple digits. The side car kinda seems to float at high speeds. I'd like to watch that(from the stands of course). Shocked

He doesnt use his rear brakes. Not yet at least. He wants to rig up some type of rear brake by his left hand. He also want to take off the sidecar and have a small wheel come down on the right side for slow speeds and stops. I told him to have a bypass switch for speed bumps.

I think those retracting wheels are called "Insta-trike" wheels or something like that.

Ya know,, although I already have a trike, that 'Leg-Up Landing Gear' would be a perfect setup for me if I every came across a good deal on a nice two wheeler. I'm on a trike because of a bad hip and can't hold up a heavy cruiser.

I really can't over state how much respect I have for the riders, both members and non-members who ride in-spite of the physical difficulties which have been placed in front of them. You folks are an inspiration for all of us.  cooldude

Those retracting wheels look lame. Also a good friend of mine dumped it because of those.
I say Trike it, or dont.
AND WTH?? Nobody got out and helped a one legged feller pick up his bike??
