Thanks Gearjammer, I hadn't seen that one before.   I thought I had watched everyone made on Iwo.

Got a room full of knats watching it also.

Dad had been gone now, about 68 or 69 years.

Never realized how much I missed him till I watched that reel.

  My dad was a decorated Marine marksman at the Battle of Guadalcanal and then off to landing at Iwo Jima.  He was one of the ones that lived through both. 

  He never talked about it.   Sad
