Well I finally got her back together after new paint, a Bridgestone Potenza G0019 205/60/16, swapping the windshield for a Woody's, and a few other enhancements. First impressions are I really like the Woody's fairing, well built and fits nicely, and the ride on the darkside is very comfortable. I found no surprises riding the Tennessee twisties at my normal pace with confidence. Not trying to convert anyone, just giving my experience. I hear a box of Tagalongs calling my name.........

+1 ...  On the tire part.

Just mounted up a General Altimax 205/60/16 last Sunday. As luck would have it, it was 54° on Tuesday in NE Ohio, so I took it out for a shake-down ride of about 50 miles in the evening.

Honestly, my first thought, and what became the thought throughout was, "big deal". I felt really only very minor differences between the CT and an MT. Unless I am in for any surprises (I did only go 50 miles)... I'm a convert.

Yeah, buy your own cookie.  Dark side here for a couple of years and only thing I've gotten for it is a much better ride.   cooldude

JC.....

Any problems with your Freedom Wings hitting your Bakers?  Looks kinda like you took the top one off.

Yeah, even without the Freedom Wings I had to take the uppers off of the Air Wings for adequate clearance for the Woody's. The lowers still do a good job of moving air away from the legs. Got a little air coming up from around the turn signals, but not enough to be a real issue. Was running an oversize Clearview windshield before that was like sitting behind a wall, so I kinda like the extra breeze.

Mighty fine looking ride you have there JC.  I have a little over 400 miles on the dark side now and haven't got my cookie either.

Oh well,

Promises of cookies were just to get you to the DARKSIDE!!  Evil
Still a new darksider and have yet to get any cookies.....
I had actually decided against going to the c/t, but had to out of necessity. sure glad i did....I LOVE IT!!
actually my first tire wasn't even the correct size or tread. it was just something i found and put on because my dunlop had the cord showing. now i have a proper c/t to ride on. the first tire was actually too wide but it never rubbed on the shaft side...(course you couldn't slip a piece of paper in there either)......love it though.......WHO NEEDS COOKIES???
